Cape Town wedding photographer
As told by Keezia
No words can describe how special our day was. Ryan and I got engaged in a funky restaurant in Nottinghill, London. From then we always knew our dream day will happen amongst our family and friends in our home town beautiful CapeTown.

We planned our day from London with love and support from family & friends all around the world and amazingly talented suppliers in Cape Town. Our venue, Knorhoek in Stellenbosch was perfect. Laid back, set in nature with a vintage feel – just perfect for our vintage travel theme! Ryan and I have spent the last 3 years travelling around Europe and Africa, so wanted to include it in our day.

The ceremony setting was perfect, under the trees surrounded by pure beauty and all our loved ones. My beautiful bridesmaids and I walked down the aisle to The Promise by Tracy Chapman and followed it with You’ve got the love by Florence where Ryan and I were ‘sprinkled’ with fynbos confetti to mark our moment of being announced as Mr & Mrs Haste. When I asked Ryan what he thought of the day he replied:”better than I could of ever imagined!” and that’s truly sums it up!

As told by Donne

Our wedding was an absolute dream come true and could not have been the beautiful occasion it was without the presence of family and friends from near and far and of course having our son there to bless our union, was priceless.  We entered the reception hall to the chorus of Goldfish’s, “We come together”.  My bridesmaids and friends were integral in putting together the decor and flowers, making the cake, doing my hair and makeup and creating my beautiful dress.  Thank you Mom, Carla, Taryn, Lara, Lucia, Debi, Caz and Nikki for all your hard work, you are loved and appreciated more than you know.  I am incredibly lucky to have such talented and loving people in my life.

Our MC’s Graham and Taryn, my brother Jason and brother-in-law Paul had the guests in stitches from beginning to end, but my husband’s speech was the one that had me smiling from ear to ear and tears streaming down my cheeks.

As I type this, I gleam as I recall part of Mark’s speech to me when he said that he must have saved a holy man in his past life to have found his match.

Our first dance was by Lifehouse “It’s you and me”, and is such a special song for us.  We even managed to not step on each other’s feet!

The garter was thrown to the tune of Lou Bega’s “Mambo Number 5” and the bouquet to Goodluck’s “Hop on, hop off” and after that we danced till 2am to a combination of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and chart topping music.

We live a charmed life, not because of what we have materially, but because the Universe brought us together to relish in the love and happiness we feel every day.

In the words of James Blunt, If this is what we’ve got, then what we’ve got is gold.

Thank you God for my perfect family.
